The Physical Therapist provides ongoing evaluation and assessment of patients using standardized tests and measurements and direct observation. Qualifications
Required: Bachelor's, Master's or DPT degree or certificate in Physical Therapy from an accredited college or university Certifications and Licenses Required: Current license from the NJ State Board of Physical Therapy Examiners Scheduling Requirements: Shift working, weekday shifts varying between 8am-8pm and/or weekend shifts 8am-2pm Per Diem (PD) Essential Functions: Formulate objective treatment goals and plans to achieve goals Modify goals and plans as needed Provide medically prescribed treatment to outpatients May be assigned to the hospital to provide inpatient care Retain responsibility for the physical therapy of the patient being treated by the physical therapist assistant through direct supervision Complete written or computerized documentation in the medical record as pertains to patients status Complete all other forms, documents and letters as necessary Participate in committees and meetings as assigned Maintain knowledge of current laws and standards of practice as relates to physical therapy Participate in educational activities including student supervision and provision of education on areas of expertise or interest Contribute to hospital and community education within scope of knowledge as requested Benefits and Perks: At RWJBarnabas Health, our market-competitive Total Rewards package provides comprehensive benefits and resources to support our employees' physical, emotional, social, and financial health.
