Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Pediatric Occupational Therapist to join our team. Our patient population includes children with movement disorders such as Cerebral Palsy, brain injury, hydrocephalus, neuromuscular conditions, and genetic conditions. This position involves program development, intensive outpatient therapy opportunities, research participation, and collaboration with a dedicated team of specialists. The role requires experience working with medically complex infants and children, including NICU graduates, G‑tube dependent patients, and those with neurological conditions.

Position Summary Provides professional, educational, and clinical skills in organizing and directing occupational therapy services.
Position Key Accountabilities
Coordinate all occupational therapy to ensure appropriate patient treatment.
Conduct patient consultation, evaluation, and program planning for all patients.
Develop home exercise programs to instruct patients in required exercises.
Reassess patient status continuously to ensure treatment goals, plans, and program remain appropriate.
Participate in development and writing of clinical research protocols; promote safety and efficacy in research questions, interventions, and outcomes.
Develop educational programs to increase patient/family and community awareness of occupational therapy treatment.
Recruit, screen, and enroll patients for research protocols.
Provide study‑related rehabilitation therapies per research protocol.
Assist in preparation of progress reports and grant proposals to private foundations and governmental agencies.
Other duties as assigned.
Certification & Skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Working knowledge of MS Office.
Occupational Therapy license by the Executive Council of Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy Examiners – Texas Board of Occupational Therapy Examiners (ECPTOTE) required.
Minimum Education Bachelor’s degree from an accredited school of Occupational Therapy. Master’s or Doctoral degree preferred.
Minimum Experience Three (3) years of experience required.
Physical Requirements Exerts up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds frequently, or a negligible amount constantly to move objects.
