1.0 FTE, Monday - Friday, 40 hours/week, Daytime Hours within Clinic Hours

Responsibilities

Room patients and obtain vitals, medical history, and reason for visit

Assist providers with exams, procedures, and treatments including pap smears, pelvic exams, and prenatal visits

Administer injections and medications as directed

Perform basic lab tests, specimen collection, and point-of-care testing

Provide patient education and instructions for follow-up care

Ensure accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)

Support a positive, team-focused clinic culture

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited program for Medical Assistants or Graduate of an accredited program for Licensed Practical Nurses

Current CMA certification through one of the following credentialing bodies: AAMA, AMT, NCCT or NHA

Current license to practice nursing in the State of Iowa/Illinois for Licensed Practical Nurse

Previous clinical experience in a medical office preferred.

BLS and Mandatory Reporter certification.

Computer data entry experience.

Strong interpersonal skills.

Ability to work as a team member.
