R&D Chemist

to join its dynamic team located in Burlington, NC to support its Burlington & Safety Components brands. These brands are world leaders in research and development using innovative fibers, chemicals, and processes to create next generation textile products. Responsibilities

In this position, you will be responsible for discovering, implementing, and promoting proprietary emerging technologies within Burlington, Safety Components, and our global partners. Responsibilities include research of textile technologies, with various chemical and dye suppliers, universities, and through professional organizations. Evaluation includes conducting laboratory trials & testing, followed by manufacturing scale development trials. Project management also includes protection of IP and compliance with regulations. This position is also responsible for providing technical support for Manufacturing, Marketing, Sales and our Customers. Some domestic and international travel is required. Qualifications

Qualified candidates will have a minimum bachelor\'s degree in chemistry, textile chemistry, polymer chemistry or related work experience. Candidates should have at least 5 years R&D experience in a technical laboratory setting. Experience with textile applications highly desired. Equal Opportunity
