Job Description
The Outpatient Radiologic Technologist is responsible for providing accurate diagnostic imaging exams in CT imaging modality to meet patients’, ordering physicians’, and radiologists’ needs. The successful candidate will have graduated from an accredited school of radiologic technology and be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) within 12 months. Licensure from the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association is required. Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification is also required. Responsibilities
Perform radiologic examinations timely, accurately, and safely for radiologist interpretation. Assure the MRI suite and adjacent clinical and common areas are prepared to receive patients/visitors. Support a culture of safety by consistently looking for ways to improve safety and addressing problems of patient care as they arise. Qualifications
Graduation from an accredited school of radiologic technology Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) within 12 months Licensure from the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification The Medical University of South Carolina is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
