Overview

Under the supervision of the Supervisor, the Therapist is responsible for completing clinical assessments and providing therapy to individuals, families and groups. Uses independent judgment and discretion to provide individual, child, family and group therapy; counseling; crisis intervention; and advocacy services to children and families. Programs and Services

As a Leader In Trauma-informed Care, Children’s Institute Provides Counseling Services To Children, Adolescents, Transition-aged Youth And Parents In Our Intensive And Non-intensive Behavioral Health And Wellness Programs. Intensive- (CII) offers several intensive behavioral health programs for children/youth between the ages of 0 to 21 years who have Medi-Cal insurance and are experiencing a broad range of risky behaviors. We provide 24/7 crisis support, individual/family counseling and therapy, assistance with community resources such as housing and physical health care, psychiatric services and medication support. Services are offered in the home, school, telehealth and/or office. Full Service Partnership (FSP) - an intensive behavioral health program that supports children/youth engaged in risky behaviors and their families. Intensive Field Clinical Capable Services (IFCCS) - an intensive behavioral health program that supports children/youth and their families who are involved in the child welfare system and experience multiple home placement changes. Wraparound - an intensive behavioral health program that supports children/youth and their families who are involved with the child welfare system or probation. Non-Intensive

- CII also offers mental health services for young children ages 0-5 and school aged children. Each family gets personalized care and works with a dedicated staff member to select the services and support that best meets the caregiver and the child’s health and happiness. Birth to 5 - a mental health services program that supports families with babies and young children (up to 5 years old) who have concerns about how their child is doing. The Birth to 5 program offers information on the child’s development, supports activities to build the parent-child relationship at home, in school or at an office, and connects caregivers to additional educational services or resources through our programs and/or community partners. School-Aged - supports the emotional wellness of school-aged children & adolescents who are experiencing challenges managing their feelings and behaviors. The School-Aged program provides short-term counseling services to children, adolescents and their families in the home, their school, at a CII community site, or via telemedicine as appropriate. Clients in the School-Aged program are Medi-Cal recipients living in LA Metro or South Los Angeles and experiencing behaviors that impact their child’s well-being and happiness. Additional Programs CIFFTA - is an outpatient treatment for youth ages 11-18 designed to modify adolescent conduct problems, depression, school failure, family conflict, delinquency, drug use and/or problematic sexual behavior. CIFFTA combines family treatment, individual treatment, and psycho-educational modules in a highly strategic and effective manner. The program will be specifically focused on SPAs 4, 6 and 8 but will be available to any adolescent and their families in Los Angeles County. DUTIES

Uses independent judgment and discretion to gather information, assess needs and provide appropriate direct clinical and related therapeutic services, emphasizing evidence-based practices (EBPs), to clients and/or their families. Maintains appropriate case notes and other records and prepares periodic reports as required. Meets and/or exceeds client service delivery goals. Uses independent judgment and discretion to provide ongoing clinical assessment and treatment planning for assigned clients. Participates as a member of the multi-disciplinary team. Provides consultation to representatives of other agencies by providing regular reports as needed. Participates in regular clinical supervision. Additional Duties

Develops and maintains knowledge of service standards and policies as stipulated by contract, licensing, and/or other governing bodies. Continuously increases professional knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the art practices; participating in in-service programs. Other duties and special projects as assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities

This job has no supervisory responsibilities. Qualifications

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

2 years of therapeutic experience. Master\'s degree in psychology, counseling, or social work required. Other Qualifications

Possesses a valid driver\'s license and state-required auto insurance or reliable transportation depending on business needs. Required to travel extensively (> 50% of the time). Spanish / English bilingual preferred. Ability to handle confidential information. Maintains patient privacy, including protecting the confidentiality, safeguarding the integrity and availability, and limiting the use and disclosure of patient Protected Health Information (PHI) to authorized individuals and entities. Participates in, conducts, and sustains performance quality improvement activities according to designated role and responsibilities. Sensitivity to service population’s cultural and socioeconomic characteristics. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Punctual and dependable attendance. 75,601.00 USD - 85,469.00 USD In accordance with California law, the expected pay range for this position is included in this posting. The actual compensation will be determined based on factors permitted by law. New hires will be offered a salary at the starting point of the range to maintain internal inequity and allow opportunity for future salary growth. CII salaries are determined based on comprehensive internal and external market analysis, as well as the skills, education, and experience relevant to each position. Benefits
