Location: Louisville, Kentucky 40217 Healthcare Setting: Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Employment Type: Locum Tenens (Travel Nursing/Contract) Start Date: September 7, 2025 End Date: December 6, 2025 Contract Duration: 13 weeks Nursing Shift: 12-hour nights, 3 shifts per week Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Estimated Weekly Salary: $2000 - $2050
Registered Nurse Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of acute care RN experience; ICU nursing experience highly preferred Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kentucky BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required Nursing Diploma or Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ASN) required
ICU Nurse Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive assessments and ongoing evaluations of ICU patients Develop, implement, and update individualized care plans with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams Monitor, document, and report patient responses to clinical interventions Educate patients and families on care, treatment, and discharge planning Delegate tasks to licensed and non-licensed staff, serving as a mentor and preceptor Foster teamwork, participate in quality improvement initiatives, and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations
