Join a leader in Nephrology. The Department of Medicine's Division of Nephrology at the University of Virginia, School of Medicine, is seeking applicants for a tenure-ineligible Clinical Faculty position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor at our Lynchburg and Farmville, Virginia area locations. Rank and compensation will be dependent upon qualifications. You will have the opportunity to join a group of twenty-eight (28) nephrologists and be associated with a well-respected, academic health system.
The UVA Department of Medicine is dedicated to preventing disease and treating illness, educating and inspiring future leaders in internal medicine. We provide comprehensive care across all specialty disciplines. We offer a competitive salary and benefits package with relocation assistance. Lynchburg is a scenic town close to the Blue Ridge Mountains, Charlottesville, and Roanoke, Virginia. The UVA Health System includes multiple dialysis units and a vibrant home dialysis program.
Qualifications: Candidates must have an MD or equivalent, be board-certified or board-eligible in Internal Medicine and Nephrology by the appointment start date, and have a commitment to clinical excellence and teaching. Excellent oral and written communication skills and experience working across disciplines are required. The selected candidate will undergo a background check and pre-employment health/drug screening.
