Cardiac Sonographer (Echo Tech) PRN - Anderson Hospital
Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking a skilled Cardiac Sonographer (Echo Tech) to provide PRN services at Anderson Hospital in a dynamic, patient-focused environment.
Essential Functions
Performs diagnostic echocardiography examinations using ultrasound testing equipment to evaluate the heart during Transthoracic Echocardiography, Transesophageal Echocardiography, and Cardiac Stress testing examinations.
Demonstrates ability to proficiently perform non‑invasive and invasive cardiac exams.
Shows knowledge of cardiac anatomy, exam procedures, and interpretation of results.
Prepares and monitors patients before and during procedures.
Utilizes the hospital electronic medical record to review patient information and document any critical findings.
Available for on‑call hours as required.
Education
Associates degree in an applied health science field with a concentration in cardiovascular technology, ultrasonography or a related study.
Licensure / Certification
Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association (required).
Credential in echocardiography by one of the following organizations:
Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS).
Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) by the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).
Experience
Minimum of one year of experience as a Cardiac Sonographer (preferred).
EPIC Electronic Health Record (EHR) experience (preferred).
Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) experience (preferred).
