About The Healer Within Holistic Counseling, LLC
The Healer Within is a holistic mental health practice based in New Mexico, committed to providing compassionate, ethical, and integrative care. Our services include individual psychotherapy, couples/marriage counseling, family therapy, mental health workshops, and client education. We are seeking dedicated, skilled, and licensed mental health professionals to join our collaborative team as Independent Contractors.
Position Summary
We are currently hiring
independent licensed (or license‑eligible under supervision) mental health professionals
to provide counseling and psychotherapy services. This role is ideal for clinicians seeking autonomy while working within a supportive and ethical group practice setting.
Bilingual (Spanish/English) therapists and those certified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
are strongly encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
Provide individual, couples, and/or family counseling and psychotherapy services.
Conduct intake assessments and maintain comprehensive clinical documentation.
Deliver services via telehealth and/or in‑person (as applicable).
Facilitate psychoeducational workshops or trainings for clients and/or the community.
Coordinate client discharges with appropriate referrals and documentation.
Maintain timely progress notes, treatment summaries, and chart updates.
Collaborate with Founder and clinical team for case consultations and emergencies.
Follow all practice protocols for scheduling, documentation, and billing procedures.
Required Qualifications
Licensure
(one of the following in the State of New Mexico):
Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC)
Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC, under supervision)
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW, under supervision)
Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW)
Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
Masters‑level clinicians under supervision for licensure will be considered.
Active professional liability insurance ($1M per incident / $3M aggregate) with The Healer Within listed as an "Additional Insured".
Current NPI number and eligible (or willing to become eligible) for insurance paneling under the practice.
Familiarity with HIPAA, clinical documentation standards, and ethical codes relevant to your discipline.
Preferred Qualifications
Bilingual in Spanish and English
Certified in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing)
Experience providing telehealth services.
Experience in private or group practice settings.
Comfortable working with diverse populations including children, adolescents, couples, and families.
The Healer Within provides:
Administrative and billing support.
Insurance credentialing assistance.
Practice marketing and client referrals.
Business email, voicemail, and technical setup.
Optional consultation/supervision (if applicable).
Contractor Requirements
Maintain all required professional licenses and liability insurance at own expense.
Notify The Healer Within of any change in licensure, supervision, or insurance status.
Comply with all ethical, legal, and state board requirements.
Coordinate directly with the Founder for any disputes or concerns.
Option for remote/telehealth work.
Occasional in‑office visits or client sessions.
Contractor provides their own work equipment and space if working remotely.
