Summary The Clinical Dietitian role directs, coordinates, and manages nutritional care for patients in assigned clinical areas, performing nutritional assessments, developing care plans, educating patients, and communicating with physicians and healthcare team members.
Responsibilities
Conduct nutritional assessments for acute care inpatients and/or outpatients.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
Provide patient education and counseling.
Communicate with physicians, nurses, and other care team members.
Coordinate care and follow up on patient progress.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Dietetics/Nutritional Sciences from an accredited college or university.
License/Certifications:
Current applicable state(s) license as a Dietitian; Registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
Experience:
Two years of experience as a Registered Dietitian (RD) conducting nutritional assessments and developing treatment plans for acute care inpatients and/or outpatients.
Additional Skills/Requirements:
N/A (Preferred: N/A)
Eligibility & Bonuses Eligible for $5,000 Sign on Bonus paid out in three installments, prorated for Part Time. Current MaineHealth employees not eligible. Must be separated from MaineHealth system for 6 months to be eligible.
