Overview
The CARDIAC CATH LAB at St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center plays a critical role within the Cardiac Service Line of Excellence supporting the Heart & Vascular Institute. It is located on the 2nd floor of the Heart Lung Tower. The Cardiac Cath Lab consists of 4 rooms plus a Hybrid room dedicated to diagnostic and interventional procedures including pacemakers, AICD’s and Electrophysiology procedures such as TAVR, Mitral Clip and LAAO. As our Cardiovascular Radiologic Technologist at SJHMC, you will help deliver excellent patient care by performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating patients with cardiovascular disease in the cath lab setting. Every day you’ll independently operate all ancillary equipment in the lab including but not limited to IVUS, pressure wire, rotablator, IMPELLA, atherectomy devices, laser and angiojet. You will demonstrate competencies in scrubbing techniques of all diagnostic and interventional procedures, utilize good radiation safety practices and you will make a positive impact on internal and external customers. To be successful in this role, you’ll need to fully understand the importance of diagnostic imaging. This includes knowledge of the general imaging workflow, various patient positioning techniques, and capturing clear results for timely and accurate diagnosis.
