Beds: 29 Minimum Years of Experience required: 2 years MST Will you accept a first-time traveler? Yes, dependent on experience; must have a strong background in MST Patient Types/Common Diagnoses: General Medicine — DM, GI, Resp, Renal, Wounds/Dressing Changes, chest tubes, trachs, lab draws required RN: 1:5-6 Required Licensure & Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS (Resource Team requirement) Skills required: direct and indirect patient care; strong interpersonal and written/oral communication; ability to work under moderate to high stress; experience reading telemetry strips Gtts management: Amiodarone (occasionally), Fentanyl PCA, Ketamine PCA, Heparin Support within the Department: CNA, Receptionist/HUC, Charge nurse, Phlebotomy IV/VAT Team? No Rapid Response Team RT 24/7 Hospitalist 24/7 Intensivist 24/7 Telemetry monitoring/tech: Centralized Telemetry Technology/Equipment: EMR — Epic; IV Pump — Alaris Floating: Yes, to other MedSurg units Orientation (facility and unit): NEO Scheduling
Weekend rotation: every other No call Holiday Expectations: Travelers will work 75% of holidays Shift times: 0630-1900 or 1830-0630 Schedule cycle: 6 weeks Other notes
