Monday - Friday 9am to 9pm, Saturday 9am-4pm, Sunday 10am-4pm
(Potential for extending Urgent Care hours by the end of the year)
Shift Details:
For the surgery tech role, hours are 7/8am-5pm, four days per week with one Saturday per month. Hours will be adjusted during the week when a Saturday is worked.
Compensation:
$25 - $28/hr, commensurate with experience
SHIFT DIFFERENTIAL:
$5.00 for urgent care hours (Urgent Care hours are 6-9 Monday - Friday and Saturdays and Sundays).

At our AAHA-accredited, 7-doctor practice, we’re proud to offer routine veterinary care and Urgent Care—available seven days a week, including evenings and weekends. We’re looking for a dedicated LVT who is excited about spending 50-75% of their time in surgery.

Who We’re Looking For A licensed veterinary technician with 2-3 years of experience, particularly in:
Administering and calculating CRIs
Anesthesia monitoring and adjusting
Reading ECGs and EKGs
Dental procedures
Experience with endoscopy/laparoscopy equipment (a big plus!)
Orthopedic surgical assistance (coverage as needed)

Responsibilities Major duties include:
In-patient medical care: administer medications, assist or perform treatments, diagnostics and monitoring, IV catheter placement, blood draws, lab work, IV fluids, daily care of patients
Anesthesia/Surgery: prep, induction, maintenance, monitoring, recovery; sterilize equipment
Dentistry: ultrasonic cleaning, polishing, dental surgery support
Radiology: position patients, assist with radiographs
Laboratory duties: sample collection, preparation, testing, record results
Client communication: hospital updates, discharge instructions, follow-up
Education: at-home care demonstrations for clients
Appointments: blood draws for monitoring, bandage changes, post-op checks, suture removals
Clinic operations: restocking, room prep, check-in/out, data entry, intake workflow
Reception support: phones, booking, admissions/discharges
Training and mentoring new team members; inventory control
Prescriptions: dispensed medications and refills
Qualifications
Physical requirements as listed: ability to lift up to 50+ pounds with assistance, long periods of standing, ability to work in a noisy environment with animals and equipment
Ability to work in a hospital setting with exposure to hazards
Good hand-eye coordination and dexterity for medical procedures
