Overview
St. Vincent Women and Infants Hospital (Ascension St. Vincent) is seeking a PRN Neonatologist in Indianapolis, Indiana. The role provides clinical services for all admitted neonates in Level IV and Level III NICUs, and daily coverage at Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital and night call rotates at both hospitals while supervising pediatric residents, mid‑level providers, and consulting high‑risk births. The Neonatologist participates in quality improvement initiatives, Vermont Oxford Network, and teaching curricula for medical students, residents, and advanced practice providers. The position supports the city’s vibrant culture and mission to invigorate the community.
Responsibilities
Evaluate and treat neonates in NICUs, coordinating discharge plans with case managers.
Support high‑risk delivery and consult high‑risk mothers in the obstetric service.
Assist in academics—teaching medical students, residents and advanced practice providers.
Assist in clinical research and quality initiatives.
Qualifications / Requirements
MD or DO – credential from the Indiana Medical Licensing Board, obtained prior to hiring.
Board certification from the American Heart Association (preferred).
Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathy required.
