Under the supervision of the Director of Nursing, the Licensed Practical Nurse administers medically prescribed treatments, coordinates nursing care, and monitors the performance of acceptable standards of nursing care on their assigned unit. Responsibilities
Provide care appropriate to residents' ages, from adult to geriatric, demonstrating knowledge of growth and development principles. Participate in planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care according to departmental policies and procedures. Supervise Nurse Aides as a Team Leader. Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program. Minimum of one year of experience in a geriatric setting preferred. Current LPN license issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nurse Examiners or eligibility. CPR certification (must be maintained). Clearances: PA State Police criminal history check and PA Department of Aging FBI fingerprint clearance (if applicable). Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Good management skills. Physical Demands & Working Conditions
Heavy physical effort required; ability to exert force up to 100 lbs. occasionally. Must be able to transport self throughout the facility. Occasional exposure to blood, body substances, and needle sticks. Work in resident living areas. Employment Details
