A contract opportunity is available for Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP) certified in Schools and holding the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) to provide specialized services in elementary school settings. This position involves working in-person within a structured school environment serving students from early childhood through middle school.
Location:
Joliet, IL (Romeoville/Bolingbrook area)
Duration:
Leave coverage contracts with flexible, overlapping assignments available from ASAP to April 2026
Settings:
Elementary and Early Childhood Center, including inclusive and self-contained classrooms.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver direct speech and language therapy to students ranging from ages 3 through grade 8
Support students in both general education and self-contained life-skills programs
Conduct play-based assessments and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
Manage caseloads with up to 60 students, ensuring individualized and weighted service plans
Work primarily in fixed locations with no travel between buildings required
Available Assignments
Immediate start through 1/12/2026 in a K-5 elementary building, supporting some students in a self-contained life-skills program
11/20/2025 to 3/6/2026 covering both elementary and middle school students within attached buildings (K-8)
1/5/2026 to 4/13/2026 at an Early Childhood Center focusing on ages 3-5 in inclusion and self-contained settings, including play-based assessment
Preferred Qualifications
Current licensure and certification in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) with CCC
Experience working in school-based settings with diverse populations including special education
Strong organizational skills for managing caseloads and documentation
Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, therapists, and families
This opportunity offers flexible scheduling across multiple leave contracts, providing valuable experience in varied educational settings and student populations.
