QC Chemist! The Role The QC Chemist serves as a Quality Control Specialist responsible for analyzing semiconductor materials in support of product qualification and to support all Quality Control laboratory processes. Job Description Key responsibilities for this role include: Responsible for analyzing raw materials, intermediates, and final products following company processes and procedures. Investigating non-compliance test results to assure the substance meets internal and external specifications. Review analytical long-term stability charts to assure laboratory equipment meet fit-for-use criteria. Perform troubleshooting repairs and maintenance activities. Reviewing and updating laboratory documents consistent with Good Laboratory Practices. Completes a high volume of work Performs automated and manual tests strictly according to approved procedures and methodologies. Perform other duties, as assigned. Abides by all safety procedures and practices applicable to location and position; participates in appropriate safety training; demonstrates commitment to and support of EH&S principles and values; champions safety as necessary Requirements BA/BS in Chemistry or related degree such as Biochemistry, Biology, Physics or Mathematics 0 -1 Years of experience in a production lab environment Instrumentation experience preferred with tools such as ICP/MS, GC/MS, UV-Vis, GC/FID/TCD, IC, HPLC, GFAA, ICP/OES, or liquid particle counters Experience using Good Lab Practices Knowledge of weights and measures used in analytical procedures Good computer skills, including ability to use MS Office suite; various email, internet, intranet, and other programs Statistical based software experience preferred Candidate must be able to multi-task and handle change in priorities. Good communication skills within different functional groups Ability to work varied shifts to include 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts. This includes weekends and holidays as required. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. This is a safety-sensitive position that requires candidates to successfully pass a post-offer drug screening prior to employment. One of the essential job functions is the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner. Additional Requirements Resilience - Ability to adapt to workplace challenges, maintain professionalism, and manage responsibilities effectively. Communication - Capacity to clearly and professionally exchange ideas, interact respectfully with colleagues and customers, and foster positive workplace relationships. Reasoning & Decision Making - Ability to analyze information, follow verbal and written instructions, and make logical, sound decisions. Comprehension - Capability to understand and complete tasks as assigned and solve problems effectively. Organizational Skills - Competence in managing multiple priorities, maintaining accuracy, and staying focused despite potential workplace distractions. PAY RANGE:
The pay range for this role is estimated at $60,000/yr. - $65,000/yr. with actual wage based on candidate’s qualifications and experience.
