The
Physical Therapist (PT)
is a professional practitioner who develops treatment plans using a variety of treatment techniques creating personalized fitness-oriented health care programs for patients. Administering medically prescribed physical therapy treatments relieves pain and improves mobility for patients recovering from accidents, trauma and surgical procedures.
JOB DUTIES Consult with patients to learn about their physical condition Assess and interpret patient evaluations and test results Develop treatment plans using a variety of treatment techniques as part of personalized fitness-oriented health care programs Administer medically prescribed physical therapy treatments to relieve pain and improve mobility Advise patients on exercise techniques and in-home treatment options Provide educational information about injury prevention, ergonomics and ways to promote physical health Oversee the support staff to ensure quality of care and maximum productivity Consult and collaborate with other healthcare professionals Document patient care history timely and accurately Comply with all rules, regulations and procedures The

JOB REQUIREMENTS Analytical ability to apply criteria and evaluate information to make decisions Strong verbal and written communication skills; and excellent interpersonal skills Accurate clinical assessment skills regarding patient medical conditions Ability and willingness to accurately and appropriately document patient care notes in a timely manner in accordance with billing and regulatory requirements Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, physicians and hospital staff Computer skills including MSOffice, Outlook, Meditech, preferred Ability to stand, walk, talk, hear, sit; reach with arms, hands and fingers to handle and feel; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; taste and smell as demonstrated by the Occupational Performance Capacity (OPC) test and/or pre-employment physical administered by CRMC at offer EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Master degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited educational institution, required Completion of an American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) accredited residency program, preferred Pass the National Physical Therapist Examination (NPTE), required Current Kansas Physical Therapy License, required Current BLS Certification, required 1-2 years’ experience in an acute or clinical setting, preferred
