Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) and Receptionist
to join our psychiatric team in Frisco, Texas. This is a part-time position, requiring 32-37 hours per week, with a focus on supporting the administrative and clinical needs of a psychiatric practice. The ideal candidate will be a compassionate, detail-oriented, and reliable professional who can work independently and as part of a team. This position will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our psychiatric facility while providing exceptional service to our patients. About Mech Mental Health Innovations: Mech Mental Health Innovations is a specialized psychiatric clinic committed to providing compassionate and innovative mental health care to our community. Led by Dr. Arnold Mech, a respected psychiatrist, our practice focuses on a patient-centered approach to care, utilizing the latest advancements in psychiatric treatment and technology such as EEGs, TMS, Neurofeedback and telemedicine to provide personal treatment options and alternatives to medications. Responsibilities
Clinical Support Prepare patients for appointments, including assisting patients with monthly inventories, accurately recording inventories and queuing medications Assist with patient-related procedures and examinations Prepare and queue medications Offer support to Dr Mech and future providers Administrative Support Front desk duties: handling incoming and outgoing phone calls, faxes, and emails Process Medication Prior Authorizations Maintain understanding of all pharmacy changes for medications Manage patient records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations Handle incoming and outgoing phone calls, faxes, and emails Assist in scheduling and confirming patient appointments Process patient paperwork, including new patient forms and consent documents in the EMR system Assist with billing and insurance verification as required for medical records Serve as a point of contact for patients prior to provider, providing excellent customer service Address patient questions and concerns with professionalism and empathy Relay messages between patients and Dr. Mech Provide patient education and instructions as directed by Dr. Mech Assist with inventory collection prior to appointments General Duties Maintain a clean and organized work environment Uphold all clinic policies and procedures Perform other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the clinic Education & Certification
Must be a graduate of a medical assisting program accredited by a recognized body Must hold a current and valid Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or an equivalent certification (e.g., RMA, CCMA) Experience
2 years previous experience as a Medical Assistant is required 2 years in a medical office setting where clerical work was performed is preferred Experience in a psychiatric or mental health setting is preferred but not mandatory Skills & Attributes
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems Ability to handle sensitive information with the utmost confidentiality Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office) Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment Compassionate and professional demeanor Job Type: Part-time Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 32 – 37 per week
