AHMG’s advanced practice providers manage the treatment and care for our patients in the practice setting, as well as at AdventHealth’s eleven campuses in Altamonte Springs, Apopka, Celebration, AdventHealth for Children, East Orlando, Kissimmee, Orlando, Winter Park, Waterman, Winter Garden, and AdventHealth for Women AdventHealth Medical Group Pulmonary Medicine at Celebration Full Time Opportunity Serving AdventHealth Celebration ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The APRN or PA, under the supervision of the Physician(s) who acts as the collaborative practitioner(s), is responsible for: Performing health assessments including patient history and physical examination in the office setting – Primarily in Celebration, FL Performs diagnostic procedures according to privileges and maintains log. Orders, interprets and incorporates diagnostic tests, studies and lab values into the plan of care; evaluates effectiveness. Formulates appropriate diagnosis based on history, physical examination and clinical findings. Plans and provides care within the framework of policies, unit guidelines and privileges. Prescribes pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic therapies according to privileges. Provides ongoing patient/family and staff education. Collaborates with all members of the healthcare team including family. Documents in a timely and thorough manner. Communicates report in an efficient and complete manner. SCHEDULE DETAILS: Campus: AH Celebration Call Rotation – includes hospital rounding REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, patients, and the public. Desire to learn and improve skillset Ability to reflect on one’s own strengths and weaknesses Motivated to grow as a provider Ability to handle elevated emotions and dying patients Comfort with a fast-growing department REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Master’s degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant studies Pulmonary experience (preferred) REQUIRED LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, AND REGISTRATION: Current, valid Florida APRN or PA license Current, valid DEA license ANCC, AANP (or equivalent) or NCCPA Certification Current BLS and ACLS required Hospital Description AdventHealth Celebration is a 317 bed, state-of-the-art hospital that serves as a showcase of innovation and excellence in healthcare.
