The Mammography Technologist is responsible for performing mammography examinations following ACR requirements. This includes screening and diagnostic mammography as well as other radiologic guided procedures such as stereotactic biopsy and breast localization performed within the Breast Center. Responsibilities
Perform mammography examinations following ACR requirements, including screening and diagnostic mammography. Conduct radiologic guided procedures such as stereotactic biopsy and breast localization within the Breast Center. Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
High School diploma, General Equivalency Diploma (GED), and/or GED equivalent programs. Graduate of an AMA approved School of Radiologic Technology. Maintain 24 continuing education credits every 2 years; 5 continuing education credits per year for mammography. Meet requirements for the National Registry (ARRT) and pass the examination. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms. Licenses and Certifications Required
Diagnostic Radiography License. Registered Technologist Radiology & Mammography. American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Certification. AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification. Contacts
Regular contact with Medical Center personnel, patients and visitors. Working Conditions
