The Gloucestershire Respiratory Service delivers a comprehensive range of treatments to support patients living with COPD, Asthma, Bronchiectasis and Pulmonary Fibrosis. The service is countywide and works in collaboration with primary and secondary care. The closing date is 16 November 2025. This is a highly varied and patient-focused role, ideal for someone who enjoys working both independently and collaboratively. You will be expected to travel to different locations across the county, including patients\' homes, clinics, and virtual settings. Deliver respiratory care across a range of settings including home visits, community clinics, and virtual sessions Support the delivery of Pulmonary Rehabilitation programmes, including education and exercise classes Perform assessments and reviews for patients requiring home oxygen therapy, including the use of blood gases to guide treatment Work closely with acute hospital respiratory teams to provide integrated care For Physiotherapists: manage patients with complex presentations such as breathing pattern disorders and sputum retention You will also have the opportunity to rotate across the four arms of the service depending on your professional background and clinical experience: Home Oxygen Assessment and Management Respiratory Assessment and Treatment Clinics Pulmonary Rehabilitation Specialist Physiotherapy Clinics The respiratory service specialises in caring for patients with COPD, Asthma, Bronchiectasis and Pulmonary Fibrosis. Clinical Provide assessment and development of individual care planning aimed at improving outcomes for respiratory patients in their homes or clinics Review patient medication and advise changes as appropriate Work within professional guidelines and scope of practice to provide holistic, individualised support to patients and relatives to improve self-management of their chronic respiratory condition Travel around the county to assist in delivering Pulmonary Rehabilitation classes with the Respiratory Team, including giving educational talks; ensure classes are run safely and in line with health and safety policies Assess and review patients who may require oxygen therapy, including taking and analysing capillary or arterial blood gases and CO testing for suspected smokers For Physiotherapists: provide specialised respiratory physiotherapies including advanced airway clearance and breathing pattern disorder management Support and manage care for patients recently discharged from hospital or Rapid Response services; work across clinical pathways to offer integrated care Maintain accurate written records in line with Trust policies; communicate effectively with other health care providers Contribute to quality improvement and service development; participate in meetings and promotional activities as relevant Line manage other staff as appropriate to role The Trust works in line with UK Visa and Immigration rules. Experience

Post graduate experience working with people with respiratory conditions Hold full UK driving licence and access to own car Evidence of teaching and supervision Experience of working with people with Long Term Conditions Evidence of working within Pulmonary Rehab Qualifications

Evidence of relevant professional registration - HCPC Physiotherapy or NMC Nursing Evidence of commitment to CPD (e.g., MSc modules or relevant post-graduate qualifications) Evidence of Non-Medical Prescribing Post graduate diploma or level 7 module in respiratory care Disclosure and Barring Service Check

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and a Disclosure to be made to the DBS to check for prior convictions. Gloucestershire Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust £38,682 to £46,580 per annum (pro rata)
