Overview Alpha Lambda House Director (Georgia Southern U) is a full-time, in-house living position overseeing the day-to-day operations and maintenance of the house and providing onsite support to members of Alpha Omicron Pi Fraternity. The role focuses on fostering a safe, secure, and enjoyable environment that supports a positive member experience.

Responsibilities

Ensure facility meets all fire, safety, and health department requirements.

Review and communicate housing rules, expectations, and safety protocol with all members within one week of facility opening.

Present at each facility opening and closing determined by immediate supervisor.

Independently track and maintain required recordkeeping and reports, or as requested by AOII Properties.

Ensure the facility is diligently maintained to protect the safety and well-being of members.

Protect and support the positive reputation of Alpha Omicron Pi Fraternity, including members, the chapter, volunteers, and staff on campus and in the community.

Maintain confidentiality of AOII information, business, and member practices.

Maintain regular contact with local chapter leaders, local volunteers, and the direct supervisor (Assistant Director of Properties).

Communicate house maintenance issues to the assigned Assistant Director of Property Management.

Collaborate with the food service provider and management on personnel matters and schedules.

Coordinate vendor and service provider on-site visits with the assistance of the Assistant Director of Property Management.

Enforce and abide by campus, Fraternity, and chapter policies and rules.

Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment regulations.

Support and maintain a living-learning environment within the chapter house.

Communicate critical information clearly and professionally.

Reconcile debit card transactions in a timely manner and document hours worked to comply with wage regulations.

House Director Must Be Able To Demonstrate

Requirements

In-house living at chapter house

Ability to read, write, and speak English effectively

Physical mobility and dexterity to transport files and operate general office equipment; ability to maneuver stairs daily

Ability to lift up to 30 pounds

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

High School diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred

Working Conditions

In-house living at the chapter house with private living quarters and meals provided during the academic year

Presence at facility seven days per week, possibly overnight; substitute may be used with approval

Smoke, drug, alcohol, animal, open-flame, and firearm-free environment

Salary Range

$30,000 - $45,000; Salary Non-Exempt FLSA status
