Emergency Room RN Job Details Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse Location: Des Moines, IA 50314 (Central Iowa healthcare jobs) Unit: Emergency Room (ER) – Mercy Main Emergency Start Date: October 3, 2025 End Date: January 1, 2026 Contract Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour nights (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM) Hours per Week: 36 Estimated Weekly Salary: $1980 - $2030 Employment Type: Travel nursing assignment Registered Nurse Qualifications Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license – Iowa or compact state Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Room RN experience Current BLS and ACLS certifications (ER RN certifications preferred) Ability to work every other weekend and every other holiday as required Compliance with all healthcare onboarding requirements, including health screenings and competency testing ER RN Responsibilities Provide high-quality, compassionate patient care in a busy emergency department Assess, triage, and prioritize patient care based on acuity and clinical protocols Administer medications, treatments, and emergency interventions as ordered Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary healthcare team members Accurately document patient care in the electronic medical record (EMR) Educate and support patients and their families during emergency situations Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant work environment in accordance with hospital and healthcare policies Benefits 401K with Matching Healthcare Dental and Vision We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity across our organization.
