Damar Services is looking for a talented and motivated Behavioral Health Diagnostic Associate to join our team. The Behavioral Health Diagnostic Associate will perform a variety of duties related to skills-building groups and crisis intervention. The incumbent is responsible for providing individual, group support, crisis intervention, as well as other support services to assigned clients. Additionally, the Behavioral Health Diagnostic Associate will assist the treatment team, including the Director Behavioral Health Services, Behavioral Health Stabilization Manager, Stabilization and Treatment team, Outpatient team, and other members as designated, in the evaluation of clinical services.

Responsibilities

Provides crisis intervention for identified clients.

Provides group support for identified clients.

Ensures that consistent behavioral-based treatment occurs for clients.

Participates in clinical staffing for clients in the Outpatient Clinic.

Keeps abreast of current treatment technology, literature, practices, and regulations.

Takes pride and ownership in Damar's facilities and assigned work areas.

Actively participates in and/or oversees data collection and the use of data to improve outcomes, practices, and service delivery.

Seeks the best use of materials, equipment, and staff to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.

Acts as a good steward of Damar and/or client finances.

Shows initiative by identifying solutions to improve stakeholder satisfaction.

Prioritizes duties in a manner consistent with organizational objectives and growth.

Maintains neat, chronological records of clinical documentation with clients.

Attends meetings, conferences, and workshops as recommended by the GSCI Manager.

Achieves required productivity standards.

Qualifications

Master's degree required, preferably in social work, psychology, counseling or applicable discipline.

Minimum of 2 years of experience working with children with challenging behaviors, developmental and/or emotional disabilities is desired.

Minimum age of 21 depending on program and/or department requirements.

Valid Indiana driver's license and driving record that meets eligibility requirements of Damar's insurance carrier (for all positions requiring driving).

Successful completion of pre-employment physical.

Must meet and continue to meet background screening requirements of program(s) assigned to.

Essential Job Functions Physical : Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight (up to 35lbs); to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard; to travel to other locations using various modes of private and commercial transportation; and to verbally communicate to exchange information.

Vision : See in the normal visual range with or without correction.

Hearing : Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.
