Serco
Serco is seeking a SESIF (Submarine EHF SATCOM Integration Facility) Lab Technician for their MILSACOM contract supporting NUWCDIVNPT in Newport, RI. You will be part of a small team supporting Code 34 from NUWC, working with both Serco and government employees.
Responsibilities
Provide distance technical assistance via SubHDR hotline, ITSM tickets, naval messages, or e‑mail to resolve terminal, antenna system, and baseband equipment hardware, communications planning, software, logistics, documentation, and training issues; submit and update ITSM problem reports.
Operate, troubleshoot, and perform preventative and corrective maintenance on laboratory and facility support equipment; submit ITSM problem reports for equipment failures.
Perform Communications Security (COMSEC) and key‑mat operations, complying with NUWCDIVNPT COMSEC policies and reporting tasks to the lab manager.
Generate NMT images per satellite access authorizations and EHF Service Plans in support of SESIF and fleet test events.
Perform laboratory hardware and software configuration control management; configure lab and equipment to support test events; maintain laboratory device records and submit baseline records to the SESIF Work Center Manager.
Prepare and submit satellite access requests per government test requirements; submit post‑mission after‑action reports using JIST or equivalent.
Download and install monthly T‑MPSS MPE global scenario updates; perform data item group imports/exports; document updates in laboratory logbooks.
Qualifications
An active DoD Secret security clearance.
A high‑school diploma and 5 years of CSRR/NMT experience, *OR* an associate’s degree and 3 years of CSSR/NMT experience.
Experience working in a lab environment.
Ability to work on‑site.
