Travel RN Job Details

Location: Mountain Home, AR 72653

Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN)

Unit: Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU/CSICU) – 17 beds

Start Date: November 24, 2025

End Date: February 23, 2026

Duration: 13‑week travel nursing contract

Shift: 3x12‑Hour Day Shifts (07:00 – 19:00)

Hours per Week: 36

Weekend Coverage: Required (12 weekend shifts per contract)

Patient Ratios: 1:2

Charting System: Cerner EMR

Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1700 – $1820

CVICU RN Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN required; BSN preferred)

Active Arkansas or Compact State Registered Nurse License

Minimum 2 years of recent CVICU or ICU nursing experience, including open heart/heart recovery

Previous charge nurse experience required

Travel nursing experience highly preferred

Certifications: BLS and ACLS (required); NIHSS preferred

Experience with Cerner electronic medical records preferred

Strong communication and basic computer skills required

Ability to complete required labs within 72 hours of offer acceptance

COVID‑19 and Flu vaccinations required (medical/religious exemptions considered)

CVICU RN Responsibilities

Deliver direct patient care in the CVICU, utilizing the nursing process for assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation

Provide leadership and collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams

Care for cardiovascular surgery patients (CABG, valve replacement/repair, thoracotomy, carotid stenting, etc.)

Manage advanced therapies and equipment: IABP, ECMO, Impella, induced hypothermia, and more

Administer and titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips, manage ventilated patients, and respond to critical emergencies

Participate in shared governance and promote evidence‑based nursing care

Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to safety‑sensitive protocols
