Speech Language Pathologist PRN - Inpatient
We are seeking a
Speech Language Pathologist PRN
to join the team. The Speech Language Pathologist conducts clinical speech language pathology services including comprehensive patient assessment and intervention relating to various diagnoses for ages 12+. The therapist will accurately assess and treat language, speech, voice, cognition, and swallowing impairments resulting from various diagnoses. Instructs therapy support staff, students, other team members, and patient and/or caregivers.
Qualifications And Skills
Previous clinical experience with planning and executing evaluation/treatment of neurogenic, motor speech, linguistic/cognitive communication disorders and swallowing disorders required.
Previous experience performing swallow studies including Modified Barium Swallow (MBS) and/or Fiber-optic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallow (FEES) preferred.
Previous experience with trach management as related to swallowing and communication disorders preferred.
Education/Certifications
Master’s Degree from an ASHA-accredited program in Speech and Language Pathology required.
Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) - SLP required.
Current license by the Commonwealth of Virginia as a SLP required.
