The Intensive In-Home Behavioral Health Services (IIBHS) Clinician provides assessment, treatment, crisis intervention, and case management services for children ages 4 through 24. The Clinician fosters positive working relationships with clients, families, providers, educators, and outside key stakeholders. This position implements service delivery in accordance with model standards and utilizes a strength‑based, solution‑focused model of care.

Education & Experience / Qualifications Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, or Social Work, or Doctoral degree in Psychology.

Licensure Requirements

LMSW, LCSW, LMFTA, LMFT, LPCA, LPC, or licensed/eligible Psychologist in the State of Connecticut.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Conduct program‑specific screening, evaluation, and formulate diagnosis in accordance with DSM.

Develop and document clear clinical formulations, crisis and treatment plans that are individualized and measurable, in collaboration with client/family.

Demonstrate knowledge of psychopathology, behavioral health concerns, and primary modalities of psychotherapy.

Triage clinical emergencies and implement program‑specific safety and consultation protocols.

Utilize best practices and evidence‑based models where appropriate and adhere to program expectations.

Provide clinical services in community settings outside the office (homes, schools, hospitals, institutions) and transport clients if needed.

Know internal and external levels of care, referral processes, and resources; make timely referrals.

Meet direct service productivity goals defined by program.

Communicate positively and effectively with clients, families, and providers.

Attend required meetings, trainings, and supervision/weekly rounds.

Follow practice standards, data collection and reporting protocols, and document client information in compliance with agency policy.

Seek additional supervision or consultation as needed and adhere to directives.

Continuously develop cultural competence and understanding of family systems.
