Respiratory Care Associate

provides a limited variety of therapeutic respiratory care services in accordance with the Oklahoma Respiratory Care Practice Act, regulated by the Oklahoma State Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision. This position requires population-specific competencies and adherence to National Patient Safety Goals as appropriate based on the level of patient contact. Qualifications: 3 years recent full-time experience in providing respiratory services at INTEGRIS Health Current Respiratory Care Practitioner License The incumbent may work under a temporary letter to practice issued by OSBMLS until the Board issues their Respiratory Care Practitioner License Must be able to communicate effectively in English (Verbal/Written) Student Only: Requires attending an accredited respiratory care program and holding a Provisional Respiratory Care Practitioner License, issued by the Oklahoma Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision (OSBMLS). The incumbent may work under a temporary letter to practice until the board issues their license. Must provide a copy of the "Verification of Student Status" form, completed by their instructor. If holding a provisional license, must demonstrate proficiency in various skills, including inhaler medication administration, nebulizer treatments, arterial blood gas analysis, and non-invasive ventilation, among others. Responsibilities: Responsible for patient care on general floor care areas, excluding critical care patients unless under direct supervision. Institutes diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory care services such as oxygen therapy, aerosol treatments, chest physiotherapy, and more. Transports equipment and supplies as needed. Accountable to the Supervisor and Chief Therapist of the Respiratory Care Department. Moderate exposure to hazards, including infections, blood, chemicals, and potential workplace violence. Must follow universal safety precautions and may be on call or assigned to multiple floors.
