Provides health care services on a full-time or part-time basis in Penn Medicine or The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Maintains licensure to practice medicine in Pennsylvania or applicable affiliate locations. Participates in teaching or equivalent service (minimum 50 hours per year). Documents clinical findings in the electronic medical record (Epic) and collaborates with physicians, nurses, ancillary staff, and hospital administration. The Pediatric Urgent Care Physician evaluates, treats, and manages patients from birth to age 21 in CHOP Urgent Care locations. Responsibilities include: Evaluate, treat, and manage pediatric patients in an Urgent Care setting; document findings, treatment plans, and follow-up care (80%). Attend meetings, participate in or lead lectures, simulations, and other required training (10%). Teach medical students, residents, and fellows (5%). Other duties as assigned (5%). Direct clinical activities including procedures such as suturing, foreign body removal, and simple incision and drainage. Continually review current pediatric standards of care and implement new processes as needed. Respond to clinical alerts and ensure timely electronic medical record completion. Participate in departmental CME and simulation activities. Working conditions: Office/lab environments as needed; extensive safety training; protective devices may be required. Qualifications

Doctorate, Medicine (MD) or Osteopathic Medicine (DO). Medical License, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. DEA License, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Medical Board Certification in Pediatrics, The American Board of Pediatrics. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification. 0-1 year of related clinical experience in a specified medical field. Employment Details

Salary range: $20,000.00 - $280,000.00 annual rate (dependent on qualifications and market data).
