What you will be doing Enterprise Products Partners L.P. is one of the largest publicly traded partnerships and a leading North American provider of midstream energy services to producers and consumers of natural gas, NGLs, crude oil, refined products and petrochemicals. Our services include natural gas gathering, treating, processing, transportation and storage; NGL transportation, fractionation, storage and import and export terminals; crude oil gathering, transportation, storage and terminals; petrochemical and refined products transportation, storage and terminals; and a marine transportation business that operates primarily on the United States inland and Intracoastal Waterway systems. The partnership’s assets include approximately 50,000 miles of pipelines; 260 million barrels of storage capacity for NGLs, crude oil, refined products and petrochemicals; and 14 billion cubic feet of natural gas storage capacity.
The Lab Specialist's responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Performing laboratory analysis (primarily gas chromatograph) for custody quality measurement and product quality control.
Providing technical support for gas chromatographs in the regional area.
Managing and reporting quality data to internal/external customers throughout the region.
What Your Background Should Look Like (minimum Qualifications) The successful candidate will meet the following qualifications:
Technical coursework beyond high school
Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry is preferred
5 years of laboratory industry experience can commensurate with Bachelor’s degree
Experience developing Chromatography specialized test methods and statistical data methods of quality control is preferred
Experience with Natural Gas liquids and Liquified Petroleum Gas products is preferred
Chemical Hygiene Plan execution experience is preferred
Willing to cover overtime shifts
Experience with
Chromatography basics (both operation and maintenance)
Analytical software packages
LIMS
Wet Chemistry techniques
Interpretation of standard testing procedures (GPA, ASTM, and UOP)
Procedure review and writing
SQC experience in a laboratory environment, interpreting and creating control charts
Possess a strong commitment to personal and job safety
Good verbal/written communication skills, decision-making skills and a strong work ethic
Able to work well with others and able to receive constructive criticism and direction while on shift
Must possess basic computer skills and be proficient in MS Office applications including but not limited to Excel and Word
Must be accountable and self-driven to learn and continuously develop and improve skills through formalized and on-the-job training
Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
