Clinical Faculty, Neonatology, Department of Pediatrics at the University of Virginia. The Neonatology faculty member will be at the Assistant or Associate Professor level with tenure-eligible (Clinical Educator Track) or tenure-ineligible (Clinical Faculty Track) options. Ideal candidates are board certified or board eligible in Neonatology with a strong clinical background and a focus on education, quality improvement, or related academic pursuits. About the position
The UVA Department of Pediatrics and Division of Neonatology seek a Neonatology faculty member. The UVA NICU is a 64-bed level IV unit with approximately 850 admissions per year, including complex multisystem cases and pre-op/post-op cardiac care. The division comprises 13 neonatologists with diverse academic interests; the fellowship program includes 9 fellows, with additional APPs, residents, and students. UVA Health operates a telehealth program via NETS, an NICU follow-up program, and collaborates across Pediatrics, Obstetrics, and Maternal-Fetal Medicine. UVA has about 2500 deliveries per year and a busy Fetal Care Center alongside MFM training and ongoing fetal intervention discussions. UVA Health emphasizes teaching and research within a world-class academic medical center and health system. UVA Health is recognized as a leading children’s hospital in Virginia and supports a broad network of clinics across multiple counties and regions. Qualifications
