What to Expect
This position is supporting Tesla's engineering fleet vehicle's maintenance and repairs. The primary objective of this role is to maintain and assure safe and reliable performance of engineering fleet vehicles. The successful candidate for this position must have a broad background in automotive maintenance and repair. What You'll Do
Perform retrofits/repairs on engineering test vehicles
at various
test locations domestically
Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve mechanical and electrical issues discovered
Provide detailed written and verbal updates to key
stake holders
Thorough documentation all work performed on vehicles through internal software database (JIRA)
Manage
necessary parts and consumables
required
to perform repairs and retrofits
Maintain a clean and organized work environment
What You'll Bring
Experience as an Engineering Technician or 3+ years as an Automotive Service Technician

certifications

Extensive knowledge of methods, techniques, parts,
tools
and materials used in the maintenance and repair of
vehicle
including electrical/
software troubleshooting
Work autonomously to solve problems
using available resources
Able to work well under pressure while managing competing demands and tight deadlines
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
to
effective
ly
collaborat
e remotely
Strong
work ethics and
organization skills with meticulous attention to detail
Experience with MS office tools (Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point)
Flexibility to work long hours and weekends when
required
Up to
50
% of travel
required within short notice, between 24-48 hours

$24.40 - $56.40/hour + cash and stock awards + benefits Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
