Fleet Services By Cox Automotive is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II . Fleet Services is the leading provider of on-site mobile maintenance and repair services for light, medium, and heavy-duty trucks and trailers. Perform licensed DOT inspections, Preventative Maintenance inspections, light and follow-up repairs in a mobile/field environment. Perform minor adjustments and repairs on electrical, braking, cooling systems, starters/alternators, engine electronics, transmissions, clutches, differentials, and related components; diagnose and repair systems as needed. Inspect, test, and diagnose defective equipment using test instruments; road test vehicles to verify repairs. Independently manage parts inventory and operate the company-issued service truck; conduct safety checks and pre-/post-trip inspections. Communicate with clients to assess needs and provide information, resolving issues and meeting expectations. Manage concurrent tasks, prioritize work, and maintain a high level of productivity within standard repair times. Document work performed, parts used, and findings on Repair Orders using company-issued iOS device and TRAIT application; complete DOT forms timely. Obtain parts from approved vendors and coordinate with management for approvals on repair estimates and RO findings notes. Work with safety, health, and environmental policies and comply with OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulations. Requirements

High School Diploma/GED with 3 years’ related experience; or higher degree/certification in a related discipline; or 5 years’ related experience. Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required duties. Obtain ASE certification T8 (PMI) within 18 months. Must pass DOT pre-employment background screening and DOT physical; may submit a valid DOT medical card in lieu if valid for more than 4 months. Must be at least 21 years old due to interstate operating authority. Valid driver’s license; ability to obtain and maintain Driver Qualification File. Certifications

ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months. Preferred: ASE T3, T4, T5, T6, T7, T8/609 certifications. Skills & Abilities

Problem-solving with the ability to use new information for decision-making. Physical ability to lift, bend, climb, stand, and perform moderately heavy labor; endurance for long periods. Effective written and verbal communication; ability to convey information clearly and collaborate with clients and team members. Hourly rate: $26.06 – $39.13 per hour; compensation may include additional incentives or commissions based on location and qualifications.
