The Component Test Engineering team is looking for a technician with experience in electrical, mechanical/structural, and thermal testing. This role will provide hands‑on support to various in‑house and external tests. This is a 1‑year contract position with the possibility of conversion to a full‑time role. The position requires on‑site attendance 5 days a week between 8 am and 5 pm. Responsibilities
Assist the engineering staff with test setups, execution, and teardown. Occasionally travel to external test facilities to set up and/or execute tests. Fabricate test fixtures, make wiring harnesses, and support other lab activities. Operate a forklift (training provided if needed). Maintain lab inventory for consumables. Maintain a clean lab environment. Required Skills
High‑voltage electrical testing experience. Operating bi‑directional power supplies and electrical loads. Building special wiring harnesses from scratch, including soldering and crimping. Building test stands and test fixtures. Desired Skills
Experience with environmental, thermal, and structural testing. Operating and troubleshooting environmental chambers. Pay Range
$30/hr – $35/hr based on experience; overtime available. EEO Statement
