Full-Time / Direct Hire Seeking an experienced Construction Manager to oversee new builds, remodels, and building conversions for retail locations. This role ensures projects are completed on time, within budget, and to high standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in retail construction management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to travel as needed. This is a direct hire opportunity, meaning the right fit candidate will go directly onto the hiring company’s payroll and be eligible for a company provided benefits package. Key Responsibilities:
Lead construction for new store builds, remodels, and conversions. Act as internal GC for select projects. Manage tenant spaces, major repairs, and store resets. Solicit and compare bids; standardize construction specs. Develop and track project schedules. Plan long-term maintenance (HVAC, forklifts, roofing). Provide minor design changes using CAD or similar tools. Collaborate with contractors and internal teams. Report regularly on project status to leadership. Qualifications:
Bachelor’s in Construction Management, Architecture, or related field preferred. 3+ years in construction project management (retail preferred). Skilled in CAD, Revit, Blue Beam, and construction software. Strong knowledge of design/build processes and mechanical systems. Excellent organizational, negotiation, and communication skills. Willingness to travel primarily in Eastern Iowa and Western Wisconsin. Adapt to flexible hours. Apply Today!
