Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) PRN Jackson role at Ahava Therapy Services. Ahava Therapy Services provides Physical, Occupational, and Speech therapy services. This position requires strong observation skills, effective verbal and written communication, and the ability to work collaboratively with others to deliver the highest level of care. Responsibilities

Provide occupational therapy treatments to residents according to the occupational therapist's treatment plans. Assist the Occupational Therapist when performing tests, evaluations, and complex treatment procedures. Observe, record, and report to the therapist the conditions, reactions, and responses related to assigned duties. Maintain daily records of treatments and document treatment and progress notes on residents as directed. Assist the therapist in consulting with family members, physicians, and other health care professionals. Assist with the care of the occupational therapy department and equipment. Assist with in-service programs and other meetings as assigned. Access continuing education opportunities appropriate to discipline and responsibilities to maintain clinical currency. Act in compliance with Ahava Therapy Services' regulatory and professional standards and guidelines. Attend and participate in or provide information for rehabilitation team conferences regarding resident progress, problems, or needs. Adhere to company and facility policies and procedures and participate in facility quality improvement and safety programs. Perform other duties as assigned. Understand reimbursement by various payers and allocate therapy resources efficiently by resident goals and outcomes related to discharge destination. Demonstrate knowledge of OBRA regulations, HIPAA, Local Coverage Determination, and third-party reimbursement guidelines. Support the company's mission and project a professional image. Work independently when appropriate and recognize situations requiring direct supervision; willing to assist others. Maintain the expected productivity level for the position at the facility/facilities. Qualifications

Graduate of an approved Occupational Therapy Assistant program. Current license or eligibility for licensure in the state of practice. BLS CPR certification upon hire or during orientation; CPR certification must remain current during employment.
