AHMG Part Time Medical Geneticist
AdventHealth Orlando is looking for a highly motivated and energetic medical geneticist to join our Medical Genetics & Genomics program in Orlando, Florida. The physician will work with our two other physicians and genetic counselors, expanding our dynamic program and providing state‑of‑the‑art genetic and genomic services to patients within the AdventHealth system.
Overview The new physician will collaborate within multidisciplinary teams of experienced clinicians in pediatric and adult cardiology, gastroenterology, hematology/oncology, maternal–fetal medicine, neurology, and transplantation surgery. The role requires ability to work in both outpatient and inpatient settings while fulfilling personal research and teaching interests.
Responsibilities
Provide clinical genetic evaluation and counseling to patients across pediatric to adult populations.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate genetics into patient care.
Participate in clinical research, including involvement in the hospital’s clinical trials.
Educate patients, families, and colleagues on genetics and genomics.
Requirements
Board certification in Clinical Genetics from the American Board of Medical Genetics & Genomics.
Board eligibility considered; must attain certification within two years of employment.
Comfort working with APPs, genetics counselors, and diverse patient populations (pediatric, adult, geriatric).
Prior experience in genetics practice is a plus.
