2026 Co-op, Clinical Biomarkers, Infectious Disease Base Pay Range $20.00/hr - $60.00/hr

Role Join Moderna’s Clinical Biomarkers team as a Co‑Op to advance assays that support our clinical trials. You will contribute to technical development, qualification, and validation of biomarker assays while keeping cross‑functional partners informed through clear, timely communications and documentation.

Here’s What You’ll Do

Support oversight of assay development & validation (CROs & internal labs): coordinate timelines and materials, review draft protocols and qualification/validation plans, monitor method transfer and readiness, track performance against acceptance criteria, verify data integrity, ensure deliverables, summarize status and risks for stakeholders, and maintain inspection‑ready documentation.

Support study readiness: prepare or refine study‑facing documents (Clinical assay plan, Vendor Oversight plans, Bioanalytical plans and reports) with guidance from mentors.

Drive clear team communication: draft weekly or biweekly summaries, contribute slides for cross‑functional meetings, and maintain dashboards summarizing assay status, risks, and timelines.

Operational excellence: improve templates/SOPs and support inspection‑readiness documentation practices.

Learn the biomarker lifecycle: observe how biomarker samples move from collection to data delivery.

Here’s What You’ll Need (Basic Qualifications)

Currently enrolled in a graduate program in Biomedical Sciences, Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Molecular Biology or similar.

Basic knowledge of standard laboratory procedures.

Completed foundational biology courses such as cell biology, immunology, microbiology.

Comfortable with Excel/Smartsheets.

Ability to provide concise written updates, maintain version control of files, and present progress to teammates.

US work authorization; no immigration sponsorship available.

Here’s What You’ll Bring to the Table (Preferred Qualifications)

Exposure to regulated environments (GLP/GCP awareness) and/or working with external labs or CROs.

Project experience in infectious diseases, immunology, or clinical/translational research.

The salary range for this role is $20.00 – $60.00. This is the lowest to highest salary we, in good faith, believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An individual’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, performance, and business or organizational needs.

The successful candidate may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, other incentive compensation, or equity award, subject to company plan eligibility criteria and individual performance.
