Job Title: Credentialing Specialist Duration: 2+ Months Location: New York, NY 10004 Description
The Credentialing Specialist is responsible for facilitating all aspects of provider credentialing, including initial appointment, reappointment, credential audits, as well as clinical privileging for Medical Staff, Allied Health Professionals, and all other providers as outlined in the corporate policy and procedures, or hospital bylaws. Utilize MD Staff credentialing software application to perform and monitor all credentialing/background checks, while maintaining accuracy and data integrity. Responsible for interpretation and compliance with the appropriate accrediting and regulatory agencies, while developing and maintaining a working knowledge of the statues and laws relating to credentialing. This is not a remote job and all work is performed on site. Responsibilities
Facilitate all aspects of provider credentialing including initial appointment, reappointment, credential audits, and clinical privileging. Maintain accuracy and data integrity using MD Staff credentialing software to perform and monitor credentialing/background checks. Ensure interpretation and compliance with accrediting and regulatory agencies; maintain knowledge of statutes and laws relating to credentialing. Qualifications
BA Degree Required 1-2 years experience in Credentialing, particularly with OPPE/FPPE process is strongly preferred MD Stat Preferred CPMSM or CPCS is preferred Additional Information
The Quality Coordinator/Specialist is responsible for facilitating the Peer Review, Ongoing Professional Practice Evaluation (OPPE), and Focused Professional Practice Evaluation (FPPE) functions utilizing MD Stat Peer review software. Key role also include assigning performance cards and reviewers in MD Stat, as well as, analyzing, extracting and reporting on data. Responsible for interpretation and compliance with the appropriate accrediting and regulatory agencies, while developing and maintaining a working knowledge of the statues and laws relating to credentialing.
