Monday – Friday 9am to 9pm, Saturday 9am–4pm, Sunday 10am–4pm Potential for extending Urgent Care hours by the end of the year. Shift Details:
For the surgery tech role, 7/8am–5pm, four days per week with one Saturday per month. Hours will be adjusted during the week for the weeks a Saturday is worked. Compensation:
$25 - $28/hr, will be commensurate with experience SHIFT DIFFERENTIAL:

50–75% of their time in surgery .

Who We’re Looking For
A licensed veterinary technician with 2–3 years of experience, particularly in:
Administering and calculating CRIs
Anesthesia monitoring and adjusting
Reading ECGs and EKGs
Dental procedures
Experience with endoscopy/laparoscopy equipment (a big plus!)
Orthopedic surgical assistance (coverage as needed)

Responsibilities Major Duties:
In-patient medical care: administer medications, assist or perform treatments, diagnostics & monitoring, place IV catheters, draw blood, run lab tests, administer IV fluids, and care for patients (feeding, walking).
Anesthesia/Surgery: prep, induction, maintenance, monitoring, recovery; clean/maintain/sterilize anesthesia equipment and surgical instruments.
Dentistry: provide patient dental care, ultrasonic cleaning and polishing, assist with dental surgery.
Radiology: position patients and assist with radiographs; send radiographs via email.
Laboratory duties: collect, prepare, run or submit samples; read and record results (fecals, urines, ear cytology) as requested by doctor.
Client communication for hospitalized patients: updates, discharge instructions, follow-up.
Client medical demonstrations / education: home care procedures.
Veterinary Technician appointments: blood draws for monitoring, bandage changes, post-op checks, suture removals, etc.
Clinic technician: assist with outpatient appointments, restock, clean exam rooms, check-in/out, take history and vitals, enter data into patient records.
Reception/front desk duties as needed: answer phones, book appointments, admit/discharge patients.
Train and mentor new team members; assist with inventory control; restock supplies.
Prepare prescriptions and refills.
Qualifications Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and lift up to 50 pounds alone and over 50 pounds with a coworker.
Endure standing and walking on hard surfaces for extended periods.
Ambulatory skills for hospital environment; work in noisy conditions with animal and equipment sounds.
Exposure to anesthesia, radiation, biological hazards, and medications/controlled substances.
Good hand-eye coordination and dexterity; able to operate equipment and use a keyboard.
