Child and Family Mental Health Provider (LCSW, LSCSW, LPC, or LCPC) - PATH Clinic We are a nationally recognized pediatric hospital committed to improving the lives of children and families through innovative, evidence‑based care.

Our Child and Family Mental Health Teams are expanding and we are looking for licensed clinicians to join the PATH (Pediatric Access to Therapy and Healing) Program.

Overview As a full‑time provider, you will deliver short‑term outpatient therapy for youth and their caregivers, working primarily in the emergency department alongside our mental health assessment team.

The role involves evidence‑based treatments such as TF‑CBT, crisis intervention, and family therapy, with a focus on equity for vulnerable populations.

Responsibilities

Provide evidence‑based child and family therapy services:

inpatient consultation, outpatient crisis intervention, long‑term family therapy, and TF‑CBT for patients seen at Children’s Mercy.

Maintain communication:

with referral sources, service providers, and the care team, while helping families access community resources and transition to other providers as needed.

Lead and collaborate:

attend meetings and educational opportunities, serve as a consultant for team members, participate on committees, and respond to hospital and community educational requests.

Qualifications

Master’s degree from an accredited program plus 1–2 years of clinical experience.

Licensed in the state of the primary work location (LMSW, LCSW, LSCSW, LPC, or LCPC) at time of hire and dually licensed in both states within 90 days of employment.

Engaged in clinical supervision (if licensed with a master level social work license).

Vaccination Requirement Seasonal influenza vaccine is a condition of employment. New employees must be vaccinated for MMR, varicella, and Tdap (or provide evidence of immunity). Medical and religious exemptions can be discussed with Human Resources.
