Pediatric Neuro-Oncologist West Virginia University School of Medicine and the Department of Pediatrics seeks a Pediatric Neuro-Oncologist (ranks available: Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor). The successful candidate will be expected to practice in Morgantown, WV. Depending on operational needs, a successful candidate may also be assigned to provide services at additional worksites in West Virginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania. In such instances, travel would be anticipated and expected to fulfill said duties at these additional sites. A successful candidate will be joining the growing division of WVUM Pediatric Blood & Cancer Center (PBCC) with three full-time pediatric oncologists, two pediatric neurosurgeons, two advanced practice providers, two clinical nurse coordinators, two pediatric hematology/oncology pharmacists, three pediatric palliative physicians, two pediatric PM&R physicians, a neuropsychologist, a pediatric psychologist, a pediatric social worker, a clinical research associate and our PBCC facility dog, Rigatoni. Duties:

The successful candidate will practice in the areas of pediatric neuro-oncology and general hematology/oncology. This is primarily a clinical position with multiple opportunities for clinical research and quality improvement. In addition to providing excellent patient care, the successful candidate will also be actively involved in teaching medical students, residents, and learners of other professions. Qualifications:

Candidate must have an MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent and be eligible for state medical license. Successful candidate must have completed a pediatric residency program, as well as hematology/oncology fellowship program, and have additional training or experience in neuro-oncology. Successful candidates must be board certified / eligible in pediatric hematology/oncology. All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment. With an anticipated opening of early 2022, our new 150 bed Children's Hospital will have a full suite of pediatric operating rooms, cardiac catheterization lab/interventional radiology, and GI-endoscopy with dedicated pediatric anesthesia staff. The hospital will include 34 pediatric beds, 54 NICU beds, 26 PICU beds, Heart Center, and a dedicated Pediatric Blood & Cancer Center.
