Chemist
located in
North Chicago, IL.
Details for the position are as follows: Pay Range: $28-$38/hour Job Description: 12-month contract with the possibility of extending or converting to permanent based on performance and budget. Shift: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Plan and execute assigned laboratory tasks utilizing standard procedures and technical understanding of various techniques to complete assigned tasks. Develop protocols for more complex tests or experiments performed with less defined assays and parameters. Apply basic computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, and instrument related systems. Presents conclusions of defined experiments. Ensures safety and GxP requirements are met when performing tasks. Ensures timely and GxP compliant delivery of high quality precise data. Qualifications: BS/BA in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, Medical Technology, Biology or related field with minimum 2-5 years lab experience (pharmaceutical industry preferred) or Master’s Degree. Experienced use of analytical instruments including HPLC and chromatography data systems (i.e., Empower, Chromeleon). Strong documentation skills, familiarity with GMP, GLP. Able to present findings to larger groups. Seniority level
