This RN position is part of Cleveland Clinic’s Weekender Flex Program. You will work two 12-hour shifts per weekend and one 12-hour shift during the week. Weekend shifts start at 7:00 PM on Fridays and end at 7:30 AM on Mondays. You will be paid for 44 hours per week while working 36 hours, with full-time status and benefits. The schedule provides personal time during the week. Responsibilities
Provide nursing care in an operative setting to patients undergoing surgical or invasive procedures. Perform scrub and circulating functions. Prepare the OR, surgical instruments and equipment for use. Minimum qualifications
Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (ADN or BSN program) Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross One year of RN experience OR completion of Cleveland Clinic’s Perioperative Residency Program Preferred qualifications
Bachelor of science in nursing (BSN) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross – If you do not hold this certification, you must obtain it within six months of hire. Physical requirements
Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination. Requires standing and walking for extended periods. Medium work – Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, 10 to 25 pounds frequently, and greater than negligible up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects. Physical demand requirements are higher than Light Work. Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 25 pounds and may push/pull or navigate carts weighing over 75 pounds periodically.
