Responsibilites
Training and Development
Design, plan, and deliver daily goalkeeper-specific training sessions according to the club's Philosophy and Style of play
Develop a goalkeeper curriculum aligned with NYSC's vision and Style of Play, ensuring all sessions reflect club principles.
Managing the assessment of all NYSC's GKs' and providing detailed feedback to both the staff and the players.
Utilize video analysis and modern coaching tools to enhance goalkeeper development and performance.
Securing that every NYSC goalkeeper has a clear Individual Development Plan (IDP).
Aid in goalkeeper scouting/ recruitment within the Academy. This will include planning and implementing goalkeeper try-outs, clinics, and camps, as well as attending local and nationwide events.
Matchday Responsibilities
Leading Goalkeepers during matches and tournaments, including warm-ups and pre-game strategies for them.
Support NYSC head coaches and technical staff in match preparation.
Provide in-game observations and adjustments to ensure goalkeeper development and performance.
Collaboration and Integration
Work closely with the NYSC Technical leads to ensure continuity and alignment in goalkeeper development.
Administration and Reporting
Maintain detailed records of goalkeeper performance, training attendance, and progress.
Provide regular progress reports to the Technical Director.
Attend staff meetings, logistics meetings, and other events as required by the club.
Qualifications
Strength in delivering tactically relevant on-field sessions
Hold a relevant coaching license (e.g., UEFA B, USSF B, or equivalent), preferably goalkeeper-specific.
Proven experience as a goalkeeper coach at the professional, collegiate, or elite youth level.
Experience in combining practical on-field know-how with off-field planning and assessment.
Ability to communicate effectively with players, staff, and other stakeholders.
Passionate about player development with a commitment to NYSC’s Core values and philosophy.
Collaboration with fellow coaches with a multidisciplinary approach
A motivated growth mindset and lifelong learner
Strong work ethic
Competency in using analysis software
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Additional Requirements
Applicant must be able to comply with USSF Soccer, Safe Sport, MLS Next Safety and Well-Being policy, and any other applicable child safety policies provided to applicants by NYSC.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as necessary
