Overview
PATIENT REGISTRAR - URGENT CARE ATHOL at Northwest Specialty Hospital. This full-time role has a rotating schedule, including weekends. Weekend hours qualify for a $2.50 differential per hour. Responsibilities
Perform registration and pre-registration functions to ensure smooth patient flow through required services. Prepare pre-registration packets for each procedure and obtain copies of appropriate documentation to facilitate billing and collections. Process co-payments and payments; update patient records and ensure accuracy of information. Back up incoming calls and direct them to the appropriate person or department. Perform nightly closing procedures for the clinic. Call patients for pre-registration notification including copays and deductibles. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications
Knowledge of basic computer programs such as Microsoft Office Suite Ability to type at least 40 words per minute Ability to relate and work effectively with others Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong customer service background Prior clerical or medical office experience preferred About Northwest Specialty Hospital
