Radiology Technologist – Health Central Imaging (Friday, Saturday, Monday 7:00 a.m. – 7:30 p.m.) at Orlando Health – Health Central Hospital, located in Ocoee, Florida.

Position Summary Provides quality patient care when performing diagnostic imaging and related procedures to demonstrate anatomy for interpretation and/or intervention while adhering to radiation safety principles.
Responsibilities
Performs diagnostic imaging and related procedures to demonstrate anatomy and/or physiology for interpretation and/or intervention.
Exercises professional judgment and maintains a demeanor that supports quality care.
Delivers appropriate care while recognizing patient conditions and ensuring successful completion of procedures.
Complies with all state and federal regulations applicable to each modality.
Adheres to Orlando Health mission statements and strategic imperatives.
Assesses the patient’s physical condition and age-specific needs.
Provides instructions to achieve patient cooperation and desired results.
Performs proper patient identification, acquires patient history, and documents information accurately.
Positions patient and equipment to obtain high-quality images for interpretation; adjusts factors to optimize results.
Assesses diagnostic images for technical quality, proper annotation, and patient identification.
Applies radiation safety principles to minimize exposure to patients, self, and others.
Complies with Quality Control standards and participates in related tasks.
Demonstrates proficiency in contrast administration and manages adverse reactions or emergencies as needed.
Applies standard precautions and PPE to prevent cross-contamination.
Assists in supervision of student technologists and training of new technologists.
Utilizes corporate radiology computer systems effectively and accurately.
Maintains safety of all customers and adheres to attendance policies and applicable regulations.
Maintains compliance with Orlando Health policies, department guidelines, and education requirements.
Other Related Functions
Maintains cleanliness of work area and equipment.
Keeps work areas well stocked and organized.
Provides patient transport as needed.
Qualifications Education/Training
Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
Licensure/Certification
Valid Certified Radiologic Technologist licensure by the State of Florida
Valid American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification
Current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification
